A day hard to put into words.. This moring I was studying a little bit about putting my confidence in the Spirit when a feeling hard to describe came over me.. I had the impression we needed to pause personal study and head to a street corner nearby .. Elder More with humility was right on board with the idea and we quickly left the pension with excitement thinking there was going to be someone there just asking for baptism.. 30 minutes later we returned empty handed after passing out some pamphlets.. I was a little bummed because nothing spectacular happened but happy that I followed the prompting from the Holy Ghost.
We finighed up our studies and prepared to head out, as we were walking along the road a woman caught our attention, she was moving some construction sand with a bucket while her two young kids played in the front yard. Of course we asked if we could help her out or if there was anything we could do. This allowed us to introduce ourselves.. During the next 15 minutes I learned the important principle of truly listening to the words people say.. The spirit directed the entire conversation as Claudia began to open up her feelings, we shared a scriputre about hope found in
Ether 12:4 that brought us all to tears.. It was an extremely special moment to be an instrument in the hand of God, to share the message that Heavenly Father needed Claudia to hear in this moment. I firmly believe that we left the pension a little early so that we would be in the street when Claudia needed us to be =)
Ever grateful for the oppurtunity I have to serve a mission, to help bring others the blessing of the Gospel. We truly have the Pearl of Great Price.. There are countless people out there searching for something, they may not know exactly what but I can promise that as we listen to their story there will always be a gospel principal that can help bring them peace and joy not only in this life but in the eternity to come =)
Love you all, look for oppurtunities to be a light in someones day =)
