Hey guys! Sorry the blog went out of commision there for a little bit, but I'm still down here in Argentina doing my best! Hope all is well back home and the sweet summer months are treating everyone well.
This week went by super fast! We kept ourselves busy to say the least.. Yesterday was the highlight however, as my good friend Jauni was able to be baptized! Two weeks ago I was able to meet Jauni and his family doing splits with Elder Jones, he was brand new to his area so we walked around a little lost but finally showed up to this house on the outskirts of the neighborhood. Jauni was an eternal investigator for the missionaries of Ameghino who in his heart always knew that baptism was the path but due to tough work shedules it was always hard for everything to get coordinated. Elder Jones and I both didn't know the family, but arrived excited to teach. However when we arrived, there wasn't much of teaching done.. We gave a blessing of health and strength to the daughter as requested by the family, and after taking our hands off the little girls head tears were rolling down the big cheeks of Jauni. The spirit had accompanied us into the home and testified to the softened heart of the big fellow that all of this was good, and that this was the path in which his family could be together forever. The puzzle pieces kind of all fit together perfectly the last couple weeks Jauni was able to enter the waters of baptism, the beginning step to an eternal family.
Jose Angel, on older gentleman always with a smile to be found was to be baptized in our ward, but due to some water difficulties we took our ward caravan over to the other ward and joined up with the Ameghino in their celebration. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon.
Elder Carter and I are doing quite well, always in the hunt for new investigators but we are happy with the progress of the ward. A big initiative we are trying to take in the Stake is that importance of members and missionaries working together. It has been fun to unite with various leaders, help give some capacitaciones, and see the change of perpesctive in members. It hasn't been all smiles and whitles here in Pergamino, but I am grateful for the oportunity I have been given to serve here.
Love ya´ll thanks for the support and prayers! Happy Fathers Day to all in my life, this is one of my favorite mormon messages, enjoy your week!
