I'll choose to describe the lunches first.. In La Emilia we had about 4 lunches a week where we would eat inside the members homes. The entire family is in the home at lunch time in preparation for the sacred siesta (nap) time in the afternoon. The food is always amazing even down to the cow stomach ;) Really I haven't had any problems with the food, but it's not crazy exoctic either.. Lots of Italian influence, more European then anything else. The best is the Asada's where they slowly cook meat over coals, the only seasoning necessary is Salt :)
Today I write from the big city of Rosario! My new área is called Capitan Bermúdez, kind of like a suburb to Rosario. It is very different then my Little La Emilia to say the least but I'm excited to become accustomed to the life in the city :)
Elder More is my new companion, and he is from the great país of Peru!! We are excited to get to work here in Bermúdez and had the oppurtunity to know some of the members last night. It's a new área for both of us so we are a litlte lost, but luckily the Elders before left us a nice Little mini map :)
I know that our Savior lives and that with his help we can do all he calls us to do, I can feel his love throughout the day and his hand helping direct my words and who to talk to in the Street. It was pretty hard to leave my first área, I grew to love the people of La Emilia in my heart but am excited for the oppurtunity to work alongside the members of Bermúdez.. They have energy for the work and a love for their savior, together we can all help build the Kingdom of God here on the Earth!
Love ya´ll!
take care
