Apologize for not sending out a message last week.. Don´t really have an excuse, just due to some bad planning ran out of time..
Capitán Bermudez es ESPECTACULAR! Last week my companion and I experienced our first baptism in our missions, Kevin Mendoza is a 13 year old stud.. While searching for a less active family we found Kevin living with his aunt and uncle. Kevin immediatly took a liking to the missionaries and quickly made some small changes in his life to prepare for baptism. His aunt and uncle (Ursprung family) have also become reactivated in the church! It was a pretty special Halloween :)

¨Best Halloweeen of my life :) the past couple of days have been pretty crazy trying to get everything lined up for Kevin's baptism. We struggled to make contact with our ward mission leader and bishop so we basically planned the meeting on our own, kind of stressful but a cool learning experience..
Being an instrument in the Lord's hands and having the oppurtunity to baptize Kevin was one of the most special experiences of my life. I´m not exactly sure why, but as we entered the water my whole body kind of tensed up and froze.. I was in the baptismal font.. I was going to help someone feel the cleansing effect of repentence.. I was, or rather through me Heavenly Father was saving one of His children.. As we entered the water the magnitude of the moment hit me... I forgot all my spanish, how to say the ordinace and everything.. The first attmept was rough, not going to lie I timidly said the prayer and forgot to put his hand under the water.. The second attempt was much better :)
There was a moment of silence, I took a deep breath, cleared my throat and paused.. The spirity filled the font and led the words that proceeded from my mouth. Kevin Adrian Mendoza went under the water and arose, cleansed from his past, cleansed from all that was unfair in his life.. Through the holy power of the priesthood and the example of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Kevin Adrian Mendoza was pure, a pureness hard to describe and he was happy. He was wrapped in the love of Heavenly Father¨
Ever grateful for this special time in my life to serve our Heavenly Father in the mission field. I know that this gospel has the power to cleanse, the power to change lives.. It has for me and I have seen it change the lives of others.. May we always be a shining light, an example of our Savior and brother.. An example of Christ.
Gracias por todo!! love you all
